Gun control advocates absolutely love to support their arguments with ethos, using examples with many of the recent mass shootings that have occurred lately in America. These persons with this stance have the main goal for getting rid of firearms all together because they believe if there were no guns on the street there will be no deaths by firearms. An whenever gun control advocates want to use more ethical personalities they have politicians or liberal activists on television speak for them such as Piers Morgan on CNN. Another comparison I caught on to is that these people are fighting for change for something that has been our right since the United States has been established just as Dr. King fought for equality when slavery and segregation has been around since the beginning of the United States as well. There are also studies and statistics that gun advocates use to show the effectiveness of gun control laws by well renowned scientists or doctors. Another form of logos they like to use is how with law they try to filter out people that should not have firearms by doing background checks but unfortunately that is not full proof. Just like Dr. King used in his letter and in many of his speeches he utilizes the emotional weapon the most just as people against guns do.
